Private Jewish Walking Tour of Le Marais

Your private guide will talk about the history of the Jews in the Middle ages, when they were persecuted and expelled from the country in 1394. Visit the beautiful synagogue of Rue Pavée (Historic Monument) designed by Hector Guimard in 1913, the creator of the Parisian Metro. And also visit and enjoy tastings at charming Jewish shops, Kosher bakeries and Jewish bookstores.

Visit the famous rue des Rosiers where Jews have been present since the Middle Ages. When Charles VI expelled them from his kingdom, the street was emptied of its inhabitants but after the French Revolution, 400 years later, the newly emancipated Jewish communities returned to settle in this same street!

The tour can include a visit of the Holocaust memorial of Paris, located at the end of the tour, in Le Marais.
