Camargue Experience Full Day Private Tour

The day begins with a discovery of the Camargue’s unique landscapes and wildlife. Crossing vast marshlands and open horizons, you reach the Étang du Vaccarès, the wild heart of the delta, where flamingos, herons and the famous white Camargue horses roam freely. Along the way, you discover the history of this singular land and the traditions that shape Camargue culture, from bull heritage to the identity of the gardians and the deep bond between people, animals and nature. The morning continues with your arrival at the manade, where you choose between two experiences.

For the first option, you are invited to meet the bulls up close. Transported across the marshes by pick-up or tractor, you enter the fields to approach and feed them, surrounded by wetlands and rice paddies. An aperitif is shared in the middle of the herd while the animals move around you. The silence of the marshes and the wind in the reeds create a truly authentic Camargue moment.

For the second option, you immerse yourself in the world of the Camargue gardians on horseback. Riding alongside them, you help gather the bulls and guide them back to the sorting enclosure. Then comes the tri, when the bull destined for the arena is separated. Dust, movement and proximity to the animals reveal the skill of the gardians.

Both options take place in the morning and are followed by a traditional lunch before continuing the day according to your interests: visiting Arles, exploring the salt marshes or swimming on a wild beach.
