Brought by the Romans and later cultivated by the abbeys of the region, the vineyards of Champagne gave birth to the sparkling wines that quickly became coveted by the young aristocracy and soon one of the most cherished beverages among European royal courts. The vision of Monk Dom Thierry Ruinart allowed him to foresee a promising future for these effervescent wines, establishing the house as one of the finest and most renowned in the world. Set in a truly unique location, its natural UNESCO-listed chalk cellars lie beneath the city of Reims, 30 meters underground, stretching over 8 kilometers.
Explore the UNESCO-listed chalk cellars of Ruinart, the oldest Champagne House, on a guided group visit of up to 12 participants. Accompanied by a House ambassador, discover the heritage, craftsmanship, and secrets behind Ruinart’s champagnes. The experience concludes with a tasting of several prestigious cuvées (2 to 3 cuvées depending on availability), showcasing the finesse, freshness, and elegance that define the house. Visits generally last around 2 hours.

*On a full-day tour, we typically recommend visiting one Champagne house in the morning, followed by a leisurely lunch, and another house in the afternoon. You can choose to explore two renowned houses, two family-run estates, or a combination of both.
