● Experience the scenic splendor of Arcachon Bay through a boat tour in the traditional local boats
● Enjoy a tasting of its famous fresh oyster while admiring beautiful landscapes
● Climb Europe's highest sand dune for panoramic views of Landes Forest
Depart from Bordeaux on a 50-minutes drive to the majestic Dune of Pilat at Pyla-sur-Mer in Arcachon Bay. Embark on your boat from a port in Arcachon as soon as you arrive to the Bay and head for a unique boat cruise in a traditional local boat called Pinasse.
Famous for its oysters, Arcachon Bay is also known for its mild climate, the beaches and an exceptional natural beauty in which the dune is preserved in a natural state.
Enjoy a typical boat cruise to discover the Bay before heading to a stopover for an oyster tasting at an Oyster farm at the edge of the water. You will also get the chance to visit the bird island with the cabins on stilts and the oyster beds and the charming villages of the Cap Ferret Peninsula. These wooden huts are the symbol of this destination.
At around 12:30- 1PM your driver will take you to enjoy lunch in a typical restaurant booked by Deluxe France.
Then, you will get to climb the highest sand dune in Europe for a panoramic view (known locally as the “Bassin”) of an inland sea open to the Atlantic Ocean. Marvel at the splendid colors of the lagoon, and take in the views of the Landes Forest from the summit. Enjoy a stunning view over the Bay.
By the end of the tour, you will be driven back to Bordeaux and get dropped off at your place of stay.
