ITINERARY

Your itinerary starts at the medieval village of Fontaine de Vaucluse, located by the Sorgue river of an emerald green color and surrounded by high cliff. Here you can walk up to its spring, one of the biggest in Europe!

Next, get down at the iconic and picture-perfect 12th century Sénanque Abbey, which is home to an active Cistercian community. Here, the lavender aroma invades the air from mid June to mid/end of July! Enjoy taking amazing pictures and also visit the Monastic shop for local products.

Continue to one of the most beautiful villages in Provence, Gordes. Gordes, a hilltop village clinging at 340 meters above the sea level offers a breathtaking view of the Luberon mountain! Discover its winding streets with calcareous rocky houses leading to an 11th-century castle at the highest part of the hill. Enjoy the local market on Tuesdays!

Continue to Rousillon, an interesting village nestled in ochre cliffs, whose color invades the whole village. Roussillon is also one of the most beautiful villages in France, located in the heart of the largest ochre deposit in the world with magnificent cliffs and ocher quarries. With a charming atmosphere and picturesque alleyways, the village is also home to artisan workshops and art galleries. Its local market takes place on Thursdays.

Then visit Bonnieux, a superb steep village of unique beauty and an exceptional view of the valley. A village of authentic charm that was a papal city for 500 years, thus with a rich architecture! Near the village is the Pont Julien, an ancient bridge from Roman Gaul, worth to see!

Lastly stop by Oppède which is certainly one of the most authentic and preserved villages of the Luberon. It contemplates a lovely landscape of vineyards, olive trees and oaks and remains dominated by its Middle Age castle.
