Set off for a refined journey to the Château de Chantilly and its gardens, located just outside Paris within a vast forested estate. Often considered one of France’s hidden gems, Chantilly is home to the magnificent Great Stables of the Princes of Condé and the Musée Condé, which houses one of the country’s finest collections of antique paintings after the Louvre.
Step into the history of French royalty while exploring this former Renaissance fortress transformed into a sophisticated palace. Beyond its remarkable architecture, Chantilly captivates with its French-style gardens designed by André Le Nôtre. Wander along symmetrical pathways, admire the reflecting pools, and discover elegant flower beds creating a peaceful and harmonious setting surrounded by nature and timeless elegance.
Inside the Musée Condé, created by Henri d’Orléans, Duke of Aumale, discover galleries preserved exactly as he envisioned them in the 19th century. The collection includes exceptional artworks, manuscripts, and rare books. Continue through the Psyche Gallery, lined with 44 stained-glass windows illustrating the myth of Psyche, before entering the Duke’s Reading Room and part of his extraordinary private library.
The experience concludes at the Great Stables, an 18th-century architectural masterpiece and the largest stables in Europe. Now home to the Horse Museum, they celebrate the historic connection between humans and horses through elegant collections and equestrian heritage.
