Rooted in family tradition, Domaine Pierre et Bertrand Couly has grown into one of Chinon’s most forward-thinking estates. Pierre and his son Bertrand have infused the historic winery with fresh vision, crafting refined wines, primarily from Cabernet Franc, that marry terroir authenticity with modern elegance.
The visit takes place in the modern wine cellar and tasting room a guided tour reveals the secrets of vinification, barrel aging, and the estate’s focus on precision viticulture. It’s a behind-the-scenes look at how tradition and sustainability work hand in hand.
Tastings are lively and diverse, featuring everything from fruit-forward rosés to age-worthy reds, with the occasional Chenin Blanc surprise.
